Locate Refrigerant Leaks in HVAC and Cooling Systems
The CEM GD-3303 Refrigerant Leak Detector is designed to locate refrigerant gas leaks in air-conditioning, refrigeration and cooling systems. Its low-power semiconductor sensor detects a range of CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants, while the long flexible probe provides access around pipework, joints and components where leaks can be difficult to reach.
The GD-3303 provides 100 ppm sensitivity for R134a and R22, with an adjustable audible tick rate and visual indication to help technicians identify and pinpoint the source of a refrigerant leak.
100 ppm Sensitivity for R134a and R22
The semiconductor sensor provides a specified detection sensitivity of 100 ppm for R134a and R22. The detector can also respond to a range of other refrigerants used in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
Detect a Wide Range of Refrigerants
The GD-3303 is designed to detect CFC refrigerants and more recent HFC refrigerants and replacements. Manufacturer-listed examples include R22, R134a, R404A, R407C and R410A, together with a wider range of compatible refrigerants.
16-Inch Flexible Gooseneck Probe
A 16-inch flexible gooseneck probe makes it easier to position the sensor around pipe connections, refrigeration components and other confined or difficult-to-reach areas.
Adjustable Tick Rate Helps Pinpoint the Leak
The detection rate can be adjusted using the thumb-operated control. As the sensor approaches a refrigerant leak, the audible tick rate increases, helping the technician narrow down the location of the leak.
Compensate for Background Refrigerant Concentrations
The adjustable tick control can also be used to compensate for background refrigerant concentration, allowing the detector to continue searching for the source of a higher local concentration.
Audible and Visual Leak Indication
Leak detection is communicated through both audible and visual indications, allowing the operator to follow changes in refrigerant concentration while moving the probe around the suspected leak area.
Less Than Two-Second Response Time
The GD-3303 has a manufacturer-specified response time of less than two seconds under the stated test conditions, allowing the probe to be moved systematically around joints and components during leak inspection.
Designed for One-Handed Operation
The handheld body and thumb-operated adjustment control allow the detector to be operated with one hand while the flexible probe is positioned around the refrigeration or air-conditioning system.
Earphone Connection for Noisy Work Areas
An integrated earphone jack provides an additional option for monitoring the audible detection signal when working in environments where surrounding equipment noise can make the built-in alarm harder to hear.
