Pressure meters provide precise measurements for HVAC systems, ventilation testing and industrial maintenance. From checking pressure differences across filters and ducts to troubleshooting air and gas systems, these portable instruments make pressure testing straightforward in the field.
Pressure Meters
About This Category
Accurate pressure measurement is essential when commissioning, maintaining or troubleshooting HVAC and ventilation systems. Pressure meters allow engineers and technicians to check system performance, identify abnormal pressure conditions and measure relatively small pressure changes that may affect airflow and equipment efficiency.
One of the most common applications is differential pressure testing. By comparing pressure at two points, a differential pressure meter can be used to investigate pressure drops across air filters, ductwork, fans and other ventilation components. This makes pressure measurement particularly valuable during HVAC balancing, filter inspection and routine system maintenance.
Portable electronic pressure instruments, often referred to as digital manometers, provide clear numerical readings and can support several measurement units. Features such as zero adjustment, data hold and MIN/MAX recording can simplify field testing, while the measurement range and resolution determine which low or higher pressure applications an instrument is best suited to.
The correct instrument should therefore be selected according to the expected pressure range, required accuracy and the medium being tested. HVAC engineers may prioritise sensitivity at relatively low pressures, while maintenance and industrial applications can require different ranges and measurement capabilities.
Pressure is only one part of evaluating the performance of an air handling system. Air velocity and airflow measurements can also provide valuable information during ventilation testing; our anemometers are designed for these measurements.
