Measure Light Levels from Low Illumination to 400,000 Lux
The CEM DT-1308 Digital Light Meter provides illuminance measurement across a wide range of lighting conditions, with a maximum measurement range of 400,000 lux. Readings can be displayed in either lux or foot-candles (FC), making the instrument suitable for lighting assessment, installation, inspection and maintenance applications.
A separate silicon photodiode detector can be positioned at the actual measurement point while the display remains easy to read. Automatic ranging, Peak Hold, Relative mode and Data Hold provide additional flexibility when comparing and recording light levels.
Measure Up to 400,000 Lux
The DT-1308 measures illuminance up to 400,000 lux, allowing the same instrument to be used across a broad range of indoor and high-level lighting conditions.
Switch Between Lux and Foot-Candles
Measurements can be displayed in either lux or foot-candles (FC), allowing the instrument to work with the lighting unit required for the application.
Automatic Range Selection
The DT-1308 features automatic ranging, reducing the need to manually select a measurement range as light levels change.
Separate Silicon Photodiode Sensor
The external photo detector uses a long-life silicon photodiode. Its separate design allows the sensor to be positioned horizontally at the required measurement location while the meter remains accessible to the operator.
Peak Hold for Changing Light Levels
The Peak Hold function captures peak light level readings, providing a practical way to observe short-term changes in illumination.
Relative Mode for Comparing Light Levels
Relative measurement mode makes it easier to compare illumination at different positions or against a reference reading, useful when assessing lighting distribution across a working area.
MAX and Data Hold Functions
MAX Hold can be used to retain the highest measured value, while Data Hold freezes the current reading on the display for easier viewing or recording.
Digital Display with Analogue Bargraph
The 4000-count LCD is complemented by a 41-segment analogue bargraph, providing both a numerical reading and a visual indication of changing light levels.
