Fast Non-Contact Measurement for Demanding Temperature Checks

The CEM DT-835 professional infrared laser thermometer combines fast non-contact surface temperature measurement with Type-K contact temperature capability for demanding industrial and maintenance applications. Its infrared sensor measures from -50°C to +800°C, while the circular laser targeting system helps identify the measurement area.

With 16:1 optical resolution, adjustable emissivity and a response time of less than 150ms, the DT-835 is designed for rapid temperature checks across industrial maintenance, HVAC, automotive, electrical and process applications. A built-in Type-K thermocouple input also enables contact temperature measurement up to +1370°C.

Non-Contact Measurement from -50°C to +800°C

The infrared sensor measures surface temperatures across a wide -50°C to +800°C (-58°F to +1472°F) range without requiring physical contact with the target. This makes the DT-835 particularly useful for hot, moving, difficult-to-reach or potentially hazardous surfaces.

Circular Laser Targeting

The bright circular laser targeting system provides a clear visual reference for the measurement area, helping the user position the thermometer correctly over the surface being checked.

16:1 Distance-to-Spot Ratio

With a 16:1 distance-to-spot ratio, the DT-835 can measure relatively small target areas from a practical working distance. The target should always be larger than the measurement spot for the best measurement results.

Type-K Thermocouple Input up to +1370°C

In addition to infrared surface measurement, the DT-835 features a Type-K thermocouple input for direct contact temperature measurement. Compatible Type-K probes can measure from -50°C to +1370°C (-58°F to +2498°F), extending the instrument beyond the capabilities of a standard infrared temperature gun.

Response Time Under 150ms

The DT-835 has a response time of less than 150 milliseconds, allowing rapid temperature checks and making it convenient for scanning multiple surfaces or identifying temperature differences across equipment and systems.

Adjustable Emissivity for Different Materials

Emissivity can be adjusted from 0.10 to 1.00, allowing the instrument to be configured for surfaces with different infrared emission characteristics.

High and Low Temperature Alarms

Adjustable high and low temperature limits provide rapid indication when a measured value falls outside the selected range, making the thermometer useful for repetitive inspection and monitoring tasks.

MAX, MIN, AVG and DIF Measurement Modes

The DT-835 can display maximum, minimum, average and differential temperature values, providing additional information when scanning machinery, equipment or other surfaces for temperature variations.

Trigger Lock for Continuous Measurement

A trigger lock function allows continuous measurement without requiring the trigger to be held manually, providing greater convenience during extended inspection or monitoring tasks.

IP54 Protection for Demanding Work Environments

The DT-835 features an IP54-rated housing for protection against dust and water splashes, helping make the instrument suitable for industrial, workshop and field environments.
