Measure Conductivity Across a Wide Range with One Pocket Tester

The XS Instruments COND 1 TDS and Conductivity Tester is a compact IP67 instrument for measuring electrical conductivity (EC) and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in aqueous samples.

With a conductivity range from 0.01 µS to 199.9 mS and TDS measurement from 0.01 ppm to 199.9 ppt, the COND 1 covers a particularly wide measurement range while automatically selecting the appropriate scale.

Wide-Range Conductivity Measurement

The COND 1 measures conductivity from 0.01 µS to 199.9 mS. Automatic range selection allows the instrument to change measurement scale without requiring the user to manually select a range.

Measure TDS from ppm to ppt

Total Dissolved Solids can be measured from 0.01 ppm to 199.9 ppt, allowing the same pocket tester to be used across samples with substantially different dissolved solids concentrations.

Adjustable TDS Conversion Factor

The TDS conversion factor can be adjusted from 0.40 to 1.00, allowing the relationship between conductivity and displayed TDS to be configured for different measurement requirements.

Automatic Range Selection

A microprocessor automatically changes the measurement scale according to the conductivity of the sample, simplifying measurements across the instrument’s wide operating range.

One or Two-Point Conductivity Calibration

The COND 1 supports 1 or 2-point conductivity calibration and recognises 1413 µS and 12.88 mS conductivity standards.

Measurement Stability Indication

An on-screen stability indicator helps identify when the measurement has stabilised, making it easier to determine when a result is ready to record.

Built-In Self-Diagnosis

Self-diagnosis messages provide additional guidance during operation and calibration, helping users identify common measurement or setup conditions.

IP67 Protection for Field and Routine Water Testing

The tester has an IP67 watertight housing, making it suitable for routine measurements in environments where water and moisture are unavoidable.

Fixed Conductivity Sensor

The COND 1 uses an integrated fixed conductivity sensor, creating a compact all-in-one tester without a separate probe or cable.

Over 300 Hours of Battery Operation

The instrument is powered by two AAA batteries and provides more than 300 hours of battery operation under the manufacturer’s specified conditions. Automatic switch-off after eight minutes helps conserve battery power.
