Record and Review Temperature Conditions Throughout Storage and Transport

The Elitech RC-4 temperature data logger provides continuous temperature recording for cold chain logistics, refrigerators, freezers, storage facilities, laboratories and other temperature-sensitive environments. Its reusable design combines an internal temperature sensor with support for an external wired probe, allowing the logger to adapt to different monitoring applications.

Up to 16,000 temperature readings can be stored in the logger’s internal memory. Recorded data can then be transferred to a computer through the USB interface and reviewed using ElitechLog software, where users can analyse temperature trends, configure logger parameters and export reports for documentation.

Internal Sensor for Ambient Temperature Monitoring

The built-in temperature sensor can be used to monitor ambient conditions inside storage areas, transport containers, laboratories and other controlled environments. The internal sensor provides a measuring range from -30°C to +60°C.

External Probe for Refrigerators and Freezers

For applications requiring the sensor to be positioned separately from the logger, the RC-4 supports an external wired temperature probe. The external probe extends the measuring range to -40°C to +85°C, making it particularly useful for refrigerators, freezers, cold storage units and temperature-controlled cabinets.

Internal or External Temperature Measurement

The RC-4 can operate using either its internal sensor or the connected external probe, depending on the monitoring configuration. The logger records from one temperature sensor at a time rather than recording both internal and external temperatures simultaneously.

Store Up to 16,000 Temperature Readings

Internal memory provides capacity for up to 16,000 temperature records, allowing temperature conditions to be documented over extended monitoring periods without requiring continuous connection to a computer.

Configurable Recording Interval

The logging interval can be configured to suit different monitoring requirements. Short intervals provide more detailed temperature histories, while longer intervals can be used for extended monitoring applications.

Configurable High and Low Temperature Alarms

Upper and lower temperature limits can be configured using the software. Alarm indications help users identify whether recorded conditions have moved outside the required temperature range during the monitoring period.

USB Data Transfer with ElitechLog

Recorded temperature data can be transferred to a Windows or macOS computer through the USB interface. The RC-4 is supported by ElitechLog, allowing users to configure logger parameters, review recorded measurements and display temperature data graphically.

Export Temperature Reports for Documentation

ElitechLog allows recorded RC-4 data to be exported in formats including PDF, XLS and TXT. This makes temperature records easier to archive, analyse or share as part of routine cold chain and storage documentation.
